Light at The End of The Tunnel for Milwaukee's Hoan Bridge Project

With all the construction happening, WISDOT wants to assure motorists getting around the lakefront or downtown this summer will be easy despite the ongoing Hoan Bridge Project.

We received an update report on how things are going and was told today the project is 75% completed. Crews have been continuing to paint the bridge and replace decking.

Keep in mind the Jackson/Van Buren Street exit will be closed so you have to use detours like St. Paul Avenue, Plankinton, and Lincoln Memorial Drive to name a few options. And for all you Summerfest goers you'll be happy to know most of the heavy duty work around this particular area has been done.

Regardless you're urged to drive carefully in any work zone.

WISDOT is also saying the $172 million project is on time and on budget. It should wrap up in December. Then next it's onto the Lakefront Gateway project centered around Lincoln Memorial Drive.
