MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County faces a lawsuit over one of the inmate deaths at the county jail in 2016.
Michael Madden, 29, died at the jail in October of that year.
His mother filed the lawsuit in Federal Court, accusing the county of negligence and indifference to Madden's need for medical treatment. Madden told staff that he had a heart condition.
On the day he died, court documents say Madden called for help but a corrections officer cursed at him, forced him to his feet, and let him fall and his head several times.
