Late night garage fire in Racine does $13,000 damage

A late night fire caused about $13,000 damage to a garage in Racine last night.   An off-duty Racine County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the fire and call it in The fire was reported around 11:30 PM at 8^th Street and College Avenue when.   When Racine firefighters arrived, they extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes.  The fire was contained to the garage and its contents.  There were no injuries reported in fighting the fire.  The cause of a remains under investigation by Racine authorities.
