WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin hunters are busy picking up their last minute supplies before the gun-deer season opens on Saturday.
CBS 58 News stopped by Blaine's Farm and Fleet in Oak Creek. The store opened at 6 a.m. on Friday and employees say there has been a steady stream of people all day.
Hunters say, there's more to the gun-deer season than just getting a buck.
"Fellowship with your friends, teaching, passing the traditions on to your sons, doing the same things, nurturing, making young hunters good responsible hunters - that's the most important thing," said hunter Terry Walsh.
If you're going hunting this year, kids younger than 10-years-old can hunt with an adult mentor.
Also remember, there are changes to how hunters tag their deer. All harvested deer must be registered online or phoned in by 5 p.m. the next day.
