Lambeau Field Ready for Sunday's Game; Packers to Wear Third Jersey

Lambeau Field is ready for Sunday’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the San Diego Chargers, which will revisit the Packers’ storied past as the team wears their third jersey.

The new third jersey is a re-creation of the team’s uniform from 1937-48, a special time in Packers history in which they won two of their record 13 NFL championships.

The jerseys will be navy blue and gold, the Packers’ predominant color scheme over their first three decades; and their design will include a gold yoke across the shoulders, the distinctive feature of their uniforms from 1937-48. Completing the historic ensemble will be faded gold pants and high navy socks.

Prior to Sunday’s game, the Packers and Verizon will team up to host a wireless phone drive in support of domestic violence survivors. Part of Verizon’s HopeLine® program, the special collection invites fans to donate their no-longer-used wireless phones, batteries and accessories from any carrier.

Volunteers will be accepting donated phones and equipment at each Lambeau Field entrance from 1:25 p.m. until kickoff. All phones collected will be distributed to and provide direct support for survivors of domestic violence in Wisconsin.

Those who will not be at the game can still donate by bringing their used phones and accessories to Lambeau Field and donating at the Verizon HopeLine® donation box in the Atrium, or at any area Verizon store.

During this October’s Domestic Violence Awareness month, Verizon also invites the public to make donations for Golden House at its retail store in Ashwaubenon at 820 Willard Drive. Community members are being asked to donate much-needed items to help survivors who rely on Golden House’s shelter services, including toiletries, bed and bath items, children’s care items and household goods. In addition, the Packers and Arise Health Plan will be recognizing U.S. Air Force Veteran Will Frederick and his family through Operation Fan Mail on-field prior to the national anthem.

Country recording artist Mickey Guyton will perform the national anthem. Two F-16 Air Force Jets from the 115th Fighter Wing in Madison, Wis. will perform a flyover.

Halftime entertainment will include the Oneida Nation Smoke and Social Dancers, performing dances to traditional earth songs that are centuries old. Also at halftime, the High School Quarterback Challenge competition on the field will feature players from Xavier High School and Freedom High School.

Two featured alumni are scheduled to make appearances throughout the weekend at various locations. Marv Fleming and Boyd Dowler will be taking part in fan activities at the Lambeau Field Atrium, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club leading up to kickoff.

Also on Sunday is the premier gameday tailgate party in the Tundra Tailgate Zone (TTZ), which will open at 11:25 a.m., along with the Lambeau Field parking lot. The band The Presidents will perform in the TTZ prior to kickoff.

Fans will receive Sentry sunglasses as the game giveaway as they enter the stadium.

The Lambeau Field Atrium and guest services desk will open at 11 a.m. for ticketed guests only. Gates to the seating areas will open at 1:25 p.m. For a full list of gameday information, please visit packers.com/gameday/gameday-information.html.
