MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee woman is facing a felony charge for making terrorist threats to her children’s school.

According to a criminal complaint, Andrea Ford called the St. Margaret Mary Church several times on Monday, threatening the school’s staff. Ford’s child attends the school; however, court records show she is not the legal guardian of her children.

Police say the first call came in between 9:05 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. The person who picked up the phone says Ford identified herself and demanded to speak with her children. Ford then said she was going to shoot her children’s guardian and if she didn’t get to talk to her children, she was going to “blow up the school and shoot up the school”. A criminal complaint states Ford then said she was going to come down to the school “right now” to shoot it up.

Authorities say a second call came in at 9:15 a.m. Ford said if she could not speak with her children she was going to “9/11 the school” and “come up to the school and beat everyone up”.

Another call came in at 9:30 a.m., Ford stated she was going to come to the school and shoot it up before blowing it up. She also said she would beat up all of the staff members for not letting her talk to her children.

Court records state at this time, the school went into a lockdown and remained in lockdown past the normal dismissal time.

Police officers came to the school and monitored the scene for several hours.

Around 2:10 p.m., a police officer trying to locate Ford, called her. She told the officer if he went to her house, she would be waiting for him outside with a gun.

Ford was later located at a different home. When officers arrived, Ford said if anyone tried to touch her she was going to kill them. The officers began to approach her and she picked up a steak knife. An officer told Ford to drop the knife and she complied. Ford then yelled as soon as she “gets out” she is going to “make 9/11 happen again in Wisconsin” and that she was going to “kill a bunch of cops and teachers”.

Ford faces up to a $10,000 fine and 3.5 years in prison.
