Kenosha teacher wins grant for iPads and computers

Farmers Insurance is giving Kenosha's Frank Elementary School teacher Beth Smith a $2,500 educational grant as part of the insurer group’s Thank America’s Teachers program.

Looking to bring new technology into the classroom, Smith plans to purchase new iPads and computers for her students. This new equipment will provide students an ability to practice their literary skills and make learning fun for her students.

"Teachers across the country are so passionate about what they do, and they are committed to improving their schools in any way they can," said Tu-Han Phan, managing lead of Thank America’s Teachers for Farmers Insurance. “We are so excited to provide Smith with a $2,500 grant to help improve the school’s access to technology through Thank America's Teachers.”

Smith is in the second group of 60 winners to receive a $2,500 educational grant through the Farmers Insurance® Thank America’s Teachers® national program in 2017.
