Kenosha Sheriff's Squad Hit by Loose Semi Tire

Wednesday morning while monitoring traffic on I-94 near the Wisconsin/Illinois border a semi truck tire came loose from a semi and struck the side of a Kenosha Sheriff's Department K9 squad car.

Luckily the Deputy only suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital, the K9 which was in the car at the time was not injured.

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is using the incident as a reminder for people to pay extra attention and be safe and aware on highways.
