Kenosha Police investigating complaint of man impersonating police officer

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha Police Department responded to a complaint of a person impersonating an officer on Monday.

According to police, the homeowner said that a man in a white truck questioned her and her children about neighborhood watch programs and the security of their home. The man allegedly asked the homeowner if he could come inside and inspect the home, claiming that he worked with the Kenosha Police in a new program designed to increase home security.

The homeowner refused and called police when he left.

The man is described as a white male, approximately 55-years-old, wearing a dark collared shirt with yellow writing. He was last seen driving a white truck.

The Kenosha Police Department is currently investigating and asking everyone to be vigilant of their surroundings as well as those who approach your home.
