Just Waiting on That Drink from Mother Nature

It's like a rainfall deficit bullseye is across our area.  Almost eight inches.  We need the rain, and it looks like we have ample opportunity the next few days.  A weak weather system will roll across the area late tonight, triggering a few showers and thunder showers.  And then another impulse will push through late Wednesday afternoon.  Rainfall amounts could easily exceed an inch in spots.  Very localized.

Then we take a break with the rain chances until late in the week, more specifically Saturday.  Scattered showers and storms are in the forecast all day then. Some computer models hint at more showers continuing Sunday. But the CBS58 weather team is still fine tuning this forecast.  In the meantime, keep your smart phone handy and check the CBS58 app to see exactly where the storms are on the radar.

As far as temperatures go, look for lots of 80s (but it'll feel warmer with the humidity).  Then we cool down into the 70s behind a cold front.  Still lots of summer to go!
