Start making your travel arrangements, the Wisconsin Badgers are Orange Bowl bound.

According to a news release from the Wisconsin Alumni Association, the Badgers are set to play the Miami Hurricanes on December 30 at 7 p.m. central time in Miami Gardens, FL.

The Badgers (12-1 and No. 6 in the AP poll) lost Saturday night in the Big 10 Championship to Ohio State 27-21. Miami (10-2) is ranked No. 10 in the AP poll.

The Badgers ended the season ranking sixth in the final College Football Playoff rankings.

The Hurricanes are going to the Orange Bowl for the 10th time, and it's played in Hard Rock Stadium — Miami's home field. Miami is on a two-game losing streak, but gets the berth after being the highest-ranked Atlantic Coast Conference team that is not part of the College Football Playoff.

Wisconsin is coming off its first loss of the season after the loss to Ohio State. That loss probably kept the Badgers out of the CFP field.

This is the first ever trip to the Orange Bowl for Wisconsin which has been played since 1935. The Badgers will make their second straight appearance in a New Year’s Six bowl, having defeated Western Michigan, 24-16, in the Cotton Bowl last year.

“I’m extremely proud of our guys for earning this opportunity,” head coach Paul Chryst said. “The Orange Bowl has a tremendous history and I know we will be treated in a first-class manner. Miami is a really good team and our guys are really excited for the opportunity to play such a high quality opponent.”

It is UW’s 11th bowl game in the state of Florida. The Badgers have gone 5-5 in their previous 10 Florida bowl appearances, including a 34-31 overtime victory over Auburn in the 2015 Outback Bowl.

The Hurricanes and Badgers haven't played in eight years, and that was at the Champs Sports Bowl when the Badgers beat the Hurricanes 20-14. Both have strong defenses, with Wisconsin's ranking No. 1 nationally in yards allowed in No. 2 in points allowed.

If you are interested in attending the game, the Badgers Alumni Association has travel packages starting at $975 a person for ground travel and $1,945 a person for air travel. The price does not include game tickets. To check out the packages, click here.
