Jefferson County Sheriff's Office identifies second set of remains found in shed destroyed by fire

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has identified the second set of human remains found following an Ixonia shed fire.

According to officials, the remains have been identified as Charles Lawrence, 52-years-old, who lived on the property where the fire happened. 

The fire broke out on April 24th at W 2355 Northside Road in the Town of Ixonia. Upon crews arrival, a shed and a residence both had working fires. Two sets of human remains were located inside of the shed.

The first set of remains was identified on May 16 as Brion Downie, 61-years-old who lived at the residence.

The investigation remains ongoing.
