International soccer match coming to Miller Park this summer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Brewers are bringing soccer back to Miller Park. The stadium will host an international soccer match between C.F. Pachuca and Club León on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. Both teams represent Liga MX, the top level of soccer in Mexico, with Landon Donovan bringing plenty of star power to Milwaukee as a member of Club León.

“I am excited to play in Milwaukee and at Miller Park,” said Donovan. “Matches like this are great to grow the game of soccer.”

Tickets to the match go on sale on Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. with prices starting as low as $15.00 per ticket.

This will be the third time a professional soccer is played at Miller Park. In 2014, Chivas de Guadalajara faced Swansea City, and in 2015, Club Atlas took on Newcastle United.

“We are thrilled to bring world-class professional soccer back to Miller Park,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger. “The home of the Brewers continues to prove its unique ability to host a variety of great events.”
