SLINGER, Wis. (CBS 58) The Owls were seeking their fifth-straight victory as Homestead came to town.
Slinger was the first to strike behind Jason Klink.
The two teams kept a close game. Homestead came right back. Matthew Garrison on the other end of a 25-yard bomb to move the Highlanders into the red zone but the owls came up with a big goal-line stand.
Slinger, back for more as Max Stoffel parked in the back of the end zone to keep them in the game.
It came down to a one-point decision. Homestead wins 15-14.
