Harvest Fair Takes Place This Weekend

Harvest Fair 2016 will take this weekend at Wisconsin State Fair and admission is free. 

The event will take place Friday from 5 PM. – 11 PM, Saturday from 9 AM – 11 PM and Sunday from 9 AM – 5 PM.

Harvest Fair takes place in Central Mall and Central Park, as well as the Family Activity Center (Original Cream Puff Pavilion), Natural Resources Park, the Exposition Center and The Back 40 (west of the Family Activity Center).

According to a press release from the fair, the event features  live entertainment and activities for the entire family. Headliners at the Bank Mutual Amphitheater include country star Brooke Eden on Friday at 8 p.m., The Lovin’ Spoonful’s 50th Anniversary Tour on Saturday at 5 p.m. and Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals at both 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and The Memories on Sunday at 2 p.m.

This year, children will love the KidBucks Game Show,  and Mad Science presents Fire & Ice.

The annual Pumpkin Derby presented by Halloween Express is back on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Derby track will be on display, and pumpkin derby car-making kits can be purchased, beginning Friday evening. On Sunday, Pumpkin Pit Row opens at 10 a.m., the public can vote for their favorite entries at 2 p.m. and races begin promptly at 2:30 p.m.

Many state fair food and beverage vendors will also be open during Harvest Fair, and families can enjoy the All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast Benefitting the Richfield Historical Society until 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Prices for the breakfast are $7 for adults ages 13 and older, $5 for youth ages 6-12 and children 5 and under are FREE with the purchase of an adult breakfast. Food and beverage vendors require cash.
