Guitars for Vets Issues Challenge to Green Bay Packers for Its Big Cut Fundraiser in Kenosha on June 27th

The Slogan says it all: "Hair grows back-- Arms and legs don’t."

That's how Milwaukee based Guitars for Vets is getting the word out about its Big Cut Fundraiser on June 27th which is PTSD Awareness Day.

Founder Peter  Nettesheim issued a challenge on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m. to the Green Bay Packers to find a way to take part.

Nettesheim called the Packer the classiest organization is professional sports that he hopes will hear his message.

The intention is to raise awareness and funds for the Guitars for Vets (G4V) mission at a time when the public is sensitive to the issues of those living with this disorder.

People are challenged to cut their hair in a military style to show solidarity and support for our Veteran brothers and sisters as well as those who are currently serving in the Armed Forces.

Various cuts are allowed by the Military, so a full buzz is not required.

Those who are challenged and choose not to cut their hair are asked to donate what they might pay for a basic hair-cut ~ $20. Hair that is long enough will be donated to Locks of Love.

In addition, we will be accepting donations of guitars and related gear for the program. G4V is a 501(c)3 non-profit and we will have receipts for tax purposes on hand.
