Greenfield Man Charged for Contractor Fraud

Waukesha Police Department is investigating a possible theft by contractor fraud.

According to police, the incident occurred on September 16, 2016.

Allegedly a citizen paid TK Improvements $11,400 for home improvement work that has not yet been completed.

The investigation has disclosed that the victim paid Thomas J. Krivitz, owner of TK Improvements out of Greenfield, Wisconsin, to work on the deck, gutters, and soffits of the victim’s home.

The victim paid Krivitz on July 22 and has a signed contract that the work was to commence within 15 to 20 business days and be completed within 10 business days thereafter.

Criminal charges were referred against Krivitz to the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office. Krivitz has since has been charged in Waukesha County Court with Theft by Contractor, which is a felony.

Krivitz was hired to do gutter and deck work at Richard Hunn's home here in Waukesha.

Hunn said Krivitz worked for a few days and only $300 of work.

Hunn told me Krivitz always had a flimsy excuse as to why he couldn't come back.

Police got involved and the detective says Krivitz lied to them about where the money went.

They are looking at the possibility it was gambled away.

“We've done some research in to his gambling and there's a substantial amount of money that he has spent in the past six months,” said Hunn.

We believe there are additional victims that have hired Thomas Krivitz or TK Improvements and are seeking the community’s assistance to identity these victims.
