Green Bay Police say 11-month-old sexually assaulted

Green Bay (WFRV) A 37-year-old Arkansas man is in custody after allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-month-old girl.

The Green Bay Police Department says the child was brought into the emergency room just after 3:00 o'clock Friday afternoon.

Emergency room doctor's called police because they believed the child was a victim of sexual assault.

Lt. Jason  Allen says all three are from Arkansas.

The mother's boyfriend was arrested, he is not the child's father.

Police say the boyfriend was in Green Bay working as a painter and the three had been staying at a local hotel for a short time.

Police say the child is in the custody of Brown County Protective services pending the outcome of the investigation.

Police are asking the district attorney's office to charge the man with first-degree sexual assault of a child and possession of THC.

The man is expected in court in court on Monday.
