Gov. Walker to announce Milwaukee Co. Sheriff decision by end of the week

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A decision about who will lead the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is expected any day.
“We’ll be making an announcement by the end of the week,” Governor Walker said Tuesday.
The Governor said he wanted to wait to make an announcement until there was a review of the County Jail. Acting Sheriff Richard Schmidt has been filling in as Sheriff ever since former Sheriff David Clarke resigned last August.
