Gas prices continue three week slide

For the third straight week, gasoline prices have declined in the Milwaukee area and nationwide.  According to GasBuddy.com’s survey of 615 gas outlets in the Milwaukee area, the price of gasoline dropped by nearly 3.5 cents to $2.31 per gallon.  The nationwide average for a gallon of gas is $2.18, down a little over a penny from last week.  According to GasBuddy, the price of a gallon of gas is 64 cents less than it was one year ago and it is 22 cents lower than just one month ago.  As refinery maintenance projects are completed and crude oil continues to trade around $46/barrel, GasBuddy’s senior petroleum analyst, Will Speer, expects to see continued low gasoline prices through November.
