Friday Only: Amazon Prime Drops to $67

Amazon announced earlier this week that its Prime membership would be available for $67 in honor of the 5 Emmys it took home Sunday at the 67th annual Emmy Awards. All of them went to the online retailer's original hit show "Transparent."

The deal started at midnight this morning and only lasts 24 hours.

Amazon Prime gives members free two-day shipping, free same-day delivery, exclusive offers and usually costs $99 for an annual subscription.

The limited-time offer is only available to new members.

"Transparent" tells the story of an L.A. family who discover that their father is transgender. The 10-episode show stars Jeffrey Tambor and is directed by Jill Soloway and deals with themes of family, identity and love.

Amazon said in a statement that Prime members will soon have access to new original series that are set to debut on October 9. Shows will include a coming-of-age dramatic comedy, a romantic comedy and a second season of "Transparent."
