Free ice rink in Kenosha opens Friday

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The second year Kenosha has installed an ice rink at Veterans Memorial Park outside City Hall. Starting November 30 the 32-foot by 60-foot ice rink will be open for skating from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.

It does not cost anything to skate and skate rentals are also offered for free. Those wishing to rent skates have to surrender a photo ID such as driver's license or school-issued ID. Skate rentals will happen at the Skate Hut from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. 

Hockey pucks and sticks are not allowed in the rink.
