Arrest made in connection to 'suspicious death' of 51-year-old Fond du Lac woman

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police announced an arrest Wednesday in connection to the death of 51-year-old Jacquelyn Rooney.

Authorities executed a search warrant on Merrill Avenue and took a 57-year-old Fond du Lac man into custody.

He is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.

Police say charges of first-degree intentional homicide and resisting/obstruction will be referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney's Office.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond du Lac police are asking for the community's help regarding a "suspicious death" that occurred Saturday, Nov. 12.

Officers responded to a welfare call on E. Merrill Avenue around 8:15 a.m. and located a 51-year-old woman deceased inside her residence.

An investigation into the circumstances leading up to the victim's death is ongoing.
