Fire on South 12 Street Displaces Four

Four people were displaced from their home in the 1900 block of South 12 Street by a fire Monday morning, according to the Milwaukee Fire Department.
  
The Milwaukee Fire department was called to the scene at 8:30 AM.  
The fire was located in the first floor ceiling of the two story structure.   
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.  Damage to the structure is estimated at $37,000 and $23,000 to the building contents.  
The four individuals are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
