Fatal motorcycle accident involving a deer

There was a fatal motorcycle crash on September 12 at 5:31 in the Township of Westford, Dodge County.

Preliminary investigation shows that Joseph G. Doubek, 52 years-old, from Johnson Creek, was operating  a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was traveling south on STH 73.

A deer ran into the roadway and was struck by the motorcycle, ejecting Doubek from the motorcycle after impact.

There were no other vehicles or occupants involved in this crash.

Doubek was transported to Beaver Dam Community Hospital by Beaver Dam EMS and was pronounced dead by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.

Dodge County has reported 5 fatal crashes in 2015.
