Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident involving Farm Equipment occurred in Dodge County

Fatal accident involving a Dodge Charger and farm tractor towing a corn picker and gravity box occurred on October 21 at 7:04 PM on South 73 in Dodge County.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Sth 73 near the intersection with Cth FW in the Township of Westford, Dodge County.

A Ford SUV began to pass the farm equipment on the left.  As the crash occurred, a Dodge Charger was traveling south on Sth 73 and struck the gravity box.      

A passenger in the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.  The driver of the Ford was severely injured and flown from the scene by Theda Star helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison, WI.  The driver of the tractor was severely injured and flown from the scene by Flight for Life helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison.  The driver of the Dodge was uninjured in the crash.

Names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family members.

Assisting at the scene was:  Randolph Fire Department and EMS, Fox Lake EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Columbia County Sheriff, Town of Fox Lake Police, City of Fox Lake Police First Responders, Dodge County Highway Department, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, Theda Star helicopter and Flight for Life helicopter.

The Crash remains under investigation By the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
