Family of five escapes house fire

SUSSEX, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Sussex family escaped safely after their house caught fire Thursday night. Firefighters responded to Woodland Creek Drive and Chestnut Hill at about 9:00 p.m. and found smoke and flames coming from the house.

A family member told CBS 58 News that a mother and four children lived there, but all got out safely. The children are ages one, six, seven and nine. The family is staying with neighbors.
