KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) – Friends and family of Rachael Cholak gathered on Wednesday to watch the 21-year-old on the game show “The Price is Right”.
Cholak and her dad, Mike, went to a taping in January and Rachael was selected to play.
“I was in the crowd,” Mike Cholak said. “I went crazy.”
Although Rachael is back at Brown University in Rhode Island, people in Kenosha came out to her dad’s bar, Mike’s Chicken and Donut Bar to watch the episode.
Rachael played the game “1 Right Price” but didn’t answer correctly. She got to spin the big wheel but was beat out by another contestant to make to the “showcase showdown”.
Despite that, her dad says it was a meaningful experience that he won’t forget.
“I’ve been going out there for the last 3 or 4 years,” he said. “My dad passed away but he used to love the show so then I used it as a trip for my daughter and I go to out to Los Angeles. We just do it as a fun trip and this year we got on,”
Rachael didn’t go home empty-handed, she won a ping-pong table.
