Fall University Day: All About Wool

We are repeating our popular day-long education program this fall with a focus on all things wool. Celebrate this amazing fiber with classes on all kinds of techniques. Hear lectures, watch demonstrations, enjoy a tasty lunch, and view our current exhibit, Sheared Delights.

Keynote speaker at 9 a.m. will be Sandy De Master. Her topic is “My Life’s Journey with Wool.”

A fiber arts fashion show, featuring extraordinary knitted wearables and more, takes place after lunch, from 12:15 to 1 p.m.

Take four one-hour demonstration classes, or investigate one craft in detail with a three-hour class.

Teachers include: Nancee Ariagno, Joyce Krueger, Sue Larsen, Susan Forbes, Jan Falk, Kay Walters, Elizabeth Lord, Roberta Williams, Nicole Woltman, Becky Delsman, Kim Schnueffner, Sandy Kub, Sandy De Master, Cheryl Rich, Toni Mitt, and Judy Raddatz.

Class topics include: knitted baltic mittens, wool applique, hand needle felting, carding and spinning, embroidery on wool, knitting, alpaca wool and its uses, magic loop knitting, cable knitting, rug hooking, punch needle, and felting.
