Executive Director of Milwaukee's Fire and Police Commission resigning

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Executive Director of Milwaukee's Fire and Police Commission has resigned. 

MaryNell Regan is leaving the committee to pursue other interests according to a statement released by the FPC. She was on the committee for 18 years and the director for the last three.

Here is the full statement given to CBS 58:

"After 18 years of service and 3 years as an appointed executive director MaryNell Regan has decided to pursue other interests.

During her time we’ve seen the fire and police commission grow, become more transparent in serving the citizens of Milwaukee.

While we are sad to see her go The FPC will continue on the trajectory to improve police community relations and have a more transparent department."

Regan's last day on the committee will be Monday, April 23.
