CNN-- Singer Carly Rae Jepsen is apparently boycotting the Boy Scouts of America because of their anti-gay policy.

The "Call Me Maybe" singer pulled out of a scheduled performance at this year's National Scout Jamboree in July.

The Canadian singer released a statement on Twitter saying she believes in equality for all people.

Jepsen's decision follows the rock band Train, who pulled out of their Jamboree performance last week.

More than 60-thousand people signed petition by a gay Eagle Scout asking that both Jepsen and train denounce the boy Scout policy.

In a statement, the Boy Scouts of America said they "appreciate everyone's right to express an opinion," and remain focused on putting on a great event.
