Deadline Extended for Health Insurance Marketplace

Due to the high volume of consumers attempting to enroll in health insurance Marketplace coverage that will begin on January 1, the federal government has extended the deadline to sign up to Monday, December 19.

In the Milwaukee area, enrollment experts have seen a significant surge in enrollment activity for both the Marketplace and Medicaid, mirroring the national trend.

Open enrollment will continue until January 31st,  and enrollment assisters are available to help consumers sign up for coverage until then. Consumers can dial 2-1-1 to schedule an appointment for free, confidential, local help in signing up, or go to coveringwi.org/enroll to schedule an appointment on-line.
