Dangerous heat arrives Sunday

A heat advisory is now in effect for the entire area.  The advisory will expire at 7 PM Sunday.  The record high for Sunday is 94 degrees.  We expect Milwaukee to make a solid run at breaking the record.  The forecast high is 96!  The last time we were this hot was back in July of 2013.

High temperatures will quickly climb into the low to middle 90s on Sunday.  The difference from Saturday is no late night storms to turn the winds off the lake.  An outflow boundary kept temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than the expected highs; that won't be the case on Sunday thanks to a breezy southwest wind.

The humidty will make it feel more like 100 degrees Sunday afternoon.  Take frequent breaks if you are going to be outdoors for an extended time.  Avoid alcohol and stay hydrated.

Still hot going into Monday; however, we are expecting showers and storms to cool temperatures down for Tuesday.
