Crews Working to Restore Power to 9,300 this Morning

UPDATE:  We Energies now estimates that power will be fully restored to parts of St. Francis, Cudahy and Milwaukee by 7:30 AM.  We Energies Brian Manthey said the exact cause of the outage has yet to be determined.  St. Francis Police closed a portion of St. Francis Avenue between S Iowa and S Kinnickinnic Avenues due to a power line in the road.  Manthey cautions people to stay away from any downed power lines and report them to We Energies.

At its peak, the outage affected about  9,375 customers We Energies customers.  The outage happened around  2:50 AM. Manthey said that a main feeder line, several distribution lines and lines in a substation were knocked out.
