Community members spread message of love after Liberty Park "heavily vandalized" overnight

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Crews have cleaned up Liberty Park in Pewaukee after it was "heavily vandalized" overnight.

Community members came together to not only help clean the park but also to help spread a message of love.

Signs and balloons were placed around the park.

"We cannot say thank you enough to the individuals who came out and cleaned up the playground equipment at Liberty Park last night. You are all amazing and we are so lucky to have such a supportive community! Thank you all," Pewaukee Park and Recreation said in a post on Facebook."


According to Pewaukee Park and Recreation, the tennis courts, basketball court, and the new playground were all spray painted.

Pewaukee Park and Recreation reports that the cleaning is going well and that the pressure washing is working on the tennis courts.
