MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you're looking to save money on grocery shopping, fewer people are clipping coupons and going straight for apps.
Mobisave has rebates on food, household goods, and beauty products. You can bookmark deals and then scan your receipts from any retailer to submit a claim. Ibotta has deals from retailers and supermarkets. You can then redeem an offer by scanning your receipt and product barcode.
One local expert says apps are now aimed at giving you money back.
"On top of all the coupons and the cartwheel savings you have, now you also have cashback rebates on top of it and it's really easy. Just a simple lick and scan of the receipt and then you end up coming ahead," said Ann Heinzel with My Milwaukee Mommy.
The Krazy Coupon Lady app also collects deals from other apps and puts them in one easy searchable list.
