Consumer warning about select pickled products from Steppin' Out Foods

Consumers are advised to not consume Steppin' Out Foods pickled and jarred asparagus and dilly bean products from Waukesha, Wisconsin, according to the food safety officials from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

The products, manufactured before May 5, 2015 were processed in a manner that could make them unsafe to consume.

The products were produced and distributed to retail locations and sold at farmers markets in Southeastern Wisconsin and bear the Steppin' Out Foods brand. The products may be labeled with the names “Six Inch Spikes” and “Red Hot Pumps” sold in 16-ounce or 32-ounce jars, and “Ms. Dilly Bean” and “Ms. Hotsy Totsy Dilly Bean” sold in 16-ounce jars. The products have an unknown shelf life.
