MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Common Council has passed a resolution to review all occupied city owned properties for possible lead hazards.
Supports say the checks will reduce health risks for residents. The Department of City Development will create a plan for the review over the next 30 days.
Inspectors will check water pipes, paint and soil.
The Council also approved a plan to replace lead water service lines at daycare centers using taxpayer money.
