Cold, rain and snow for the first week of April

A dipping jet stream will allow cool air to pour in from Canada to cap off March and as April rolls in. The highs will go from the 50s today and tomorrow back down into the 40s, even 30s by next week.

The system we are tracking for the weekend will feature snowfall for the western and northern parts of the state as rain, possibly a mix, will blend into southeastern Wisconsin.

Our pattern remains active next week with the Badger State being split into two; the northern corner could see a few winter systems, and the southern sections of the state will likely see a colder rain. Either way, the temperatures will be running 10-15 degrees below average. The highs by late next week could drop into low 30s for parts of SE Wisconsin.
