Key takeaways in 2024 matchups, top issues for voters
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58)--You many not have realized it, but it's the Chinese New Year. Year of The Dog in fact. It started on Friday but celebrations last for two weeks. Some qualities of dog include loyalty, faithfulness, and worrying. I spent a little time Thursday morning at the Wisconsin International Academy in Wauwatosa to learn more about the customs and traditions of the holiday. I found out food is such an important part of the occasion. A whole fish represents excess while lettuce symbolizes good fortune. Oranges mean good luck and apples are a sign of peace and safety.
There are some famous dogs, including President Donald Trump, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. Winston Churchill and Mother Theresa were also born during a dog year. The dog cycle runs until February 4th of next year.
