Chilly Start to the School Year

Although some students are already in school, the first day of school for many students is Thursday, September 1 just when a blast of cold air is returning. After Tuesday's flooding rains a cold front dropped across southeast Wisconsin bringing in a northerly wind and cooler air. By Thursday morning most students will wake up and walk to the school bus with temperatures in the 50s - cold enough for a sweatshirt or light jacket.

Don't expect too much of a warm up during the day with highs struggling to get out of the 60s.
