Child dies from the flu in Ozaukee County

Officials say a 2-year-old died on Christmas day in Ozaukee County from influenza. 

The Ozaukee County Public Health Department stresses that the flu vaccination is helpful and can reduce the severity of flu symptoms. 

This is the third person in Southeast Wisconsin to died from the virus. 

The first flu death was a 12-year-old Milwaukee girl, who died on New Years day.

A 26-year-old healthcare worker from Kenosha died on January 2nd.
