Center Street Bridge Work to Begin Monday

Work on the Center Street bridge is set to begin on Monday with a demolition and full freeway closure slated for next weekend.

The bridge work is part of a broader plan to eventually expand I-41/45. If the weather cooperates the bridge will be back open by the end of this summer.

"We don't expect problems but you know it is colder temperatures there could be equipment break ups but we have points to check in and we'll manage that to minimize the impact and that's part of the reason for doing it over two nights."

The closure begins Monday at 6 AM.
