Career Tools Conference

Are you unemployed and looking for a way to revitalize your job search? FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – Wednesday, October 29.

The Career TOOLS Conference is an all-day event featuring 30 educational sessions and workshops conducted by industry experts highlighting the most current strategies, tools, and hands-on practice to empower job seekers, plus community resources to enhance the networking experience.

Sessions are ideal for young adults (age 19+), underemployed, mature workers, long-time unemployed, individuals who have recently lost their jobs, and military returning to the civilian workforce. A wide range of topics will be covered, including how not to use social media in the job search, maximizing keywords to expand search scope, creating memorable elevator pitches, job search courage, strategies to research companies, plus one-on-one resume reviews and interview practice are OFFERED TO EARLY REGISTRANTS.

The morning keynote “Unemployment is Not a State of Being” will be led by Laura Parrino Byxbe, Career Management Consultant with Right Management and Birkman Master Trainer who has personally placed more than 8,000 individuals in new positions.

The Career TOOLS Conference is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Cardinal Stritch University, and Catholic Charities.

PRE-REGISTRATION is required due to limited seating.
