WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Several candidates are running to fill House Speaker Paul Ryan's Congressional seat.

He announced he's not running for re-election earlier this year.

Ryan has endorsed Republican Bryan Steil. Other Republican candidates include, Paul Nehlen, Jeremy Ryan, Kevin Steen, and Nick Polce. 

On the Democratic side, Cathy Myers and Randy Bryce are facing off in the primary.

Candidate Randy Bryce will be having his watch party at the Reefpoint Brew House in Racine.

Bryce is running for Congress in Wisconsin 1st District. On the Democrat side, he's up against Cathy Myers, a Janesville teacher.

Bryce has had a career as an ironworker and gained national attention since he launched his campaign back in June of 2017.

He entered the race initially to go up against Paul Ryan. That was before we learned Ryan would not be up for reelection.

During his campaign, Bryce has talked about his support for Medicare for all and the 'Fight for 15.'

 Bryce has run twice before for state positions. In this race for Congress, he is endorsed by politicians like Senator Bernie Sanders.

He is expected to get to his watch party just before the polls close at 8 p,m.
