Caller Imitates Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue, Police Searching for Information

Monday afternoon, Pleasant Prairie representatives spoke with two individuals who received a call from a person claiming to be raising money on behalf of the Fire & Rescue Department.

The Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue Department would like to make the public aware that these callers are not associated with the Village Fire & Rescue Department.

People who receive such a call should not give the caller any personal information or money.

If you receive a telephone call from someone claiming to be raising funds for Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue, please contact the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262-694-7353.

Police say that if you are able to capture a telephone number from your caller ID, this would be helpful to share when you call.
