Brewers streak continues with loss to Marlins

MILWAUKEE - The Brewers free fall continued Monday with a 6-4 loss to the Miami Marlins at Miller Park.

Carlos Gomez scored two runs and drove in another in his return to the lineup, but the Marlins muscled up for three home runs against Yovani Gallardo. Giancarlo Stanton hit his 37th homer of the season.

Gallardo allowed six runs, five earned, in 3 2/3 innings.

The Brewers have now lost 12 of 13, and are just four games over .500 on the season. They trail the Cardinals by six games and the Pirates by a game and a half in the NL Central. Pittsburgh also holds the National League's second and final wild card spot.
