Brewers drop series opener in Chicago 1-0

Addison Russell's solo home run provided the only offense in the Brewers' 1-0 loss to the Cubs Friday at Wrigley Field.

Wily Peralta served up the solo blast, but struck out six Cubs batters in six innings of work. The game marked two firsts for Chicago - Russell's first major league home run and Jon Lester's first win as a Cub.

Milwaukee managed just four hits and one walk on the afternoon. The Brewers fell to 5-18 with the loss.
