Bank robbery suspects arrested after crash near 1st and Capitol

SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Shorewood Police arrested three suspects following an attempted bank robbery at the PNC Bank, located at 4231 N. Oakland Avenue. 

It happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to police, a Shorewood Police Officer attempted to stop the vehicle involved in the robbery. The vehicle fled the scene and a short pursuit followed. The vehicle eventually crashed near the intersection of 1st and Capitol in Milwaukee. 

The occupants fled on foot from the vehicle, but all three were located and arrested.

Two of the male suspects are from Milwaukee, ages 20 and 25. A third male suspect is a 21-year-old from Mississippi.

The suspects were treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash. No one else was injured.

The investigation remains ongoing and criminal charges are pending.
