Baby Expo, New RAM Exhibits, Autumn Silhouettes Gala

The third annual Baby Expo is Saturday, November 7th. It runs from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Gateway Technical College's Racine campus. An organizer explains what parents can learn at the expo, what they can win at the expo, and what kinds of activities will be available for families.

What you might consider trash on the ground becomes art in one of the new exhibits at the Racine Art Museum. Lena Vigna shows off some of the pieces in the "Lost and Found" collection.

You can also check out the "Urban Wood Encounter" while visiting RAM. The Racine Art Museum is the first museum to feature it. The exhibition emphasizes creative uses for trees that aren't harvested for their timber values. The founder of the exhibit, Dwayne Sperber, explains his inspiration for the collection.

We also have an update on the local non-profit "Faith, Hope and Love." The group is hosting the "Autumn Silhouettes" gala on Friday, November 6th at the Racine Marriott. The event will raise money to buy and fill duffel bags for children in crisis situations.
